Answers about bookings, your account, matching, itineraries and Nativa points — for travellers and hosts.

About Nativa

5 questions
What is Nativa, and how is it different from other booking sites?

Nativa is a service for discovering Israel. We check places, help plan trips day by day, suggest experiences near your accommodation and reward bookings with points. You get help planning your trip, rather than just a list of properties.

About the brand

Who checks the places, and what does the Nativa seal mean?

Our team visits, stays, samples and checks. Only places that pass receive the Nativa seal and a Nativa score, displayed separately from guest reviews. We recommend places we would suggest to a friend.

What kinds of places can I find?

Accommodation includes zimmers, suites, villas and boutique hotels. Experiences include wineries, parks, adventure activities, workshops and tours. There are also ready-made itineraries by region and season: northern Israel, the Sea of Galilee, Galilee, central Israel, the Dead Sea, the south and Eilat.

Is the site suitable for visitors from abroad?

Yes. Alongside translated pages, we offer airport transfers, itineraries for a first visit to Israel and recommendations for kosher or Shabbat-friendly places. You can specify these preferences in your travel profile.

How do I book, and what happens after I send a request?

Choose dates on the property page and select “Send request”. The host receives it directly and usually responds within an hour. Confirmation arrives by email and in your account, where you can also message the host.

  1. Choose dates and the number of guests on the property page
  2. Send your request — the host sees it straight away
  3. Receive confirmation and pay the host directly

Are there booking fees or extra charges?

No. The displayed price is the final price: Nativa does not charge guests a booking fee. Payment goes directly to the host under the terms shown on the listing.

How do I pay?

Pay the host directly by bank transfer, card or Bit, depending on the methods they offer. Some places require a deposit. The amount and cancellation terms are shown before you send a request.

Was this helpful?
What is the cancellation policy?

Each host sets their own terms, shown on the listing and booking confirmation. Most places allow free cancellation 7–14 days before arrival. If you cancel, the Nativa points earned for that booking are also cancelled.

Can I book for a large group or several families?

Yes. Select two or more families to see complexes with neighbouring units or a villa with enough capacity. For more than 30 people, contact us and we will help organise a combined booking.

What is the difference between favourites and an itinerary?

Favourites are places you save using the heart on a listing. An itinerary is a day-by-day trip plan with accommodation, stops and travel times. You can move a saved place into an itinerary.

Match score

5 questions
What is the match score, and where can I see it?

It is a percentage showing how well a place meets your preferences. A coloured ring appears on catalogue cards and at the top of property pages, with a breakdown of criteria met fully, partly or not at all. A score is calculated once you have set your preferences.

Was this helpful?
How is the score calculated?

Mark each selected criterion as required or preferred. A fully met criterion earns 1 point, a partial match earns 0.5 and an unmet criterion earns 0. For example, a pool without heating may be a partial match. The total becomes a percentage: 85% or more is a strong match in green, 60–84% a partial match in blue, and below 60% a lower match.

Example: how five criteria produce 70%
Pool (required)Met
Sea of Galilee view (preferred)Met
Private hot tub (preferred)Partial
Pets welcome (preferred)Met
Breakfast (preferred)No
Total: 3.5 out of 5 = 70%, a blue partial match
Strong match92% · 85% or more
Partial match71% · 60–84%
Lower match48% · Below 60%
  1. Choose criteria under “What matters to you” and mark each as preferred or required
  2. We compare them with the property details provided by the host and checked by the team
  3. Met = 1, partly met = 0.5, not met = 0; the total is expressed as a percentage
Was this helpful?
What is the difference between required and preferred?

A preferred criterion affects the score only. A required criterion also affects placement: places that do not meet it are kept in a collapsed “Almost suitable” group at the bottom of the results. You can still discover a good option missing just one feature.

Was this helpful?
Are my criteria saved?

Yes, when you are signed in. They are stored in your travel profile and used in searches, property pages and the itinerary builder. You can change them in your account or while searching.

Was this helpful?
Why is a high-scoring place lower in the results?

The match score is different from the sort order. The default “Recommended” order combines your match, the Nativa score, reviews and availability. To order solely by match score, select it in the sorting menu.

Itineraries

6 questions
What is the itinerary builder?

It turns a trip idea into a day-by-day plan: accommodation, activities, wineries, restaurants, travel times and costs on one map. Start with a Nativa itinerary or build your own from scratch.

How do I build an itinerary?

Choose dates and a region, add places from the catalogue or Nativa ideas, and move them between days. The builder calculates distances, driving times and estimated costs. Changes are saved automatically.

  1. Choose dates, a region and a starting point
  2. Add accommodation and activities from the catalogue, favourites or Nativa suggestions
  3. Arrange stops by day, check the map and save

What is a travel profile, and how does it affect my itinerary?

Six short questions cover holiday style, pace, budget, companions, important features, and kosher or Shabbat preferences. They determine each place’s match score, while the match chart helps you see which stops might need replacing.

Was this helpful?
Can I share an itinerary with friends?

Yes. “Share itinerary” creates a view-only link that works without an account. A signed-in visitor can copy the itinerary into their own account and edit that copy.

Was this helpful?
Where are itineraries saved?

In your account under “My itineraries”. Before you sign in, the itinerary stays on your device. After sign-in, it moves to your account.

Was this helpful?
Can I book the whole itinerary at once?

Each stay and activity is booked with its own host, but requests can be sent directly from the itinerary. Pending or confirmed status appears on the map. Bookings in an itinerary earn Nativa points.

Nativa points

3 questions
How do I earn points?

Earn points for completed Nativa bookings — accommodation, activities and wineries — and for reviews after a visit. Points appear in your account after checkout.

  1. Book accommodation, activities and wineries through Nativa
  2. After your stay, points are credited to your account
  3. Use them for a discount on a future booking or partner gifts
Was this helpful?
What is a point worth, and how do I redeem points?

Choose “Redeem points” when paying for a new booking to reduce the price. You can also exchange points for gifts from partner wineries, spas and activities. The current conversion rate is shown in your account. The system is being launched, so terms may be updated.

Do points expire?

Points are valid for 24 months from the date they are earned. We send an email reminder one month before expiry.

Reviews and Nativa score

2 questions
Who can leave a review?

Guests who stayed through Nativa. After checkout, the option opens in “My reviews”, allowing the visit to be verified. Reviews earn Nativa points.

Was this helpful?
How does the guest rating differ from the Nativa score?

The guest rating averages reviews of cleanliness, location, host service and value. The Nativa score is given by our team after a visit, using consistent criteria so you can compare properties.
