About this place
Old City of Akko (Acre)
Old Akko is a fortified Mediterranean port city whose streets preserve layers of Crusader, Ottoman and later history. The harbour, walls, markets and religious buildings turn a walk through the city into a journey across several centuries.
Below and beside the active streets are museums and archaeological sites, including the Knights’ Halls and Templars’ Tunnel. These attractions may have their own tickets and entry arrangements; the surrounding historic quarter is a broader destination.
What to see
- Sea walls and the working harbour
- Lanes, markets and historic religious buildings
- Crusader remains and Ottoman-era urban fabric
Visitor information
Wear comfortable shoes for stone-paved lanes and allow time to explore beyond the waterfront. Confirm the schedule of any specific museum or underground site separately.
