About this place

Palmahim Beach National Park

Palmahim Beach National Park protects a stretch of Mediterranean coastline with sand dunes, beach scenery and natural habitats. It offers an alternative to more built-up city beaches and allows visitors to experience the coastal environment.

Parts of the park are intended for nature appreciation, while bathing is only appropriate where it is formally allowed and supervised. Conditions and facilities change seasonally and should be checked before a beach visit.

What to see

  • Sand dunes and Mediterranean coastal vegetation
  • Open beach scenery and coastal walking
  • A protected natural setting near central Israel

Visitor information

Verify the official bathing season, lifeguard coverage and current access restrictions. Do not assume the whole shoreline is safe for swimming.
