About this place
Israel Museum Jerusalem
The Israel Museum in Jerusalem is one of the country’s leading institutions for archaeology, art and cultural heritage. Its collections range from ancient objects to modern artworks, with the Shrine of the Book devoted to the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The museum complex also includes a large-scale model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple period and outdoor sculpture spaces. It is best treated as a museum visit with several departments rather than a short stop at a single exhibit.
