About this place
Baha'i Gardens in Haifa
The Bahá’í Gardens climb the northern slope of Mount Carmel in nineteen landscaped terraces, with the gold-domed Shrine of the Báb at their heart. The gardens frame a wide view of Haifa, its port and the bay.
The complex is an active religious site rather than an ordinary public park. Visitors can enjoy designated viewpoints independently, while walking through additional terraces requires an advance-booked guided tour.
What to see
- The terraces descending across Mount Carmel
- Viewpoints over Haifa Bay and the Shrine of the Báb
- Carefully designed flowerbeds, paths and stairways
Visitor information
Choose your entrance carefully: the upper viewpoint and the lower plaza are separate access points. Modest clothing is required; official visiting arrangements and weather-related closures should be checked before travelling.
